Q.01What is a literature matrix?
The lit-review table: two to four papers side by side, facet by facet - research question, method, sample, findings, limitations, conclusion. CruxDoc builds it from the full text of each paper, and every cell cites a verified quote from the paper it belongs to.
Q.02How do I know a finding is really in the paper?
Every quote is string-matched against the paper text on the server before you see it. Verified quotes link to their exact page; anything that cannot be matched is labelled instead of hidden. Where papers disagree, the matrix says so.
Q.03Can it extract references for my bibliography?
Yes. The reference list tool extracts every cited work with authors, title, year, and venue as printed, and downloads as a .bib file ready for LaTeX or your reference manager. Nothing is invented or auto-completed.
Q.04Does it work on scanned papers?
Yes. Scanned PDFs are read page by page with OCR, and pages with low OCR confidence are flagged so you know which quotes to double-check by eye.
Q.05Will CruxDoc referee the papers for me?
